• Provides critical support to the Director of Finance by ensuring correct accounting in all aspects of commission and overhead costs throughout Greater China, and in the reporting of all issues to the Director of Finance

• Responsible for the correct application of RCL accounting policies/ procedures and execution of internal controls. Proactively anticipates risks and develops appropriate solutions in a timely manner

• Manages, develops and motivates a team of professionals in all areas of the Accounting function, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, general accounting, financial reporting, monthly financial close process and in ensuring financial results are correct

• Key liaison with internal and external audit ensuring all financial controls and processes are compliant throughout the business

• Ensures GAAP compliance in recording of transactions with corporate policies and procedures including Sarbanes Oxley. Provide subject matter expertise on Sarbanes Oxley for business managers, and support self-assessment process of all SOX key controls

• Management of tax matters relating to the China and Hong Kong offices and interaction with the Tax Authorities

• Proactive oversight and reporting in the accounts receivable area

• Partners with business managers to ensure optimal results, identifies best practices and makes recommendations on other operational efficiency opportunities

• Key liaison with Revenue Management, Call Centre, Information Technology, Sales and Marketing and Planning and Analysis departments, amongst others

• Ensures compliance with a range of other financial, regulatory and travel related issues as required by the business

• Good analytical degree 

• Qualified Accountant (International audit firm background)
  

• Minimum of 5 years management experience in a similar position
  

• Knowledge and extensive experience in accounting and financial/analytical systems (i.e. JD Edwards, Hyperion, Excel)
  

• Excellent analytical & computer skills
  

• Excellent communication skills
  

• Excellent interpersonal skills

• Must be able to fully integrate into RCL’s international and corporate cultures

• Ability to practice controllership with perspective, and gain business wide buy-in
