• Manage HA China Transportable Gas Detector development team to serve Global HIS/HA Engineering team 
  

• Responsible for deliverables NPI programs for Transportable Gas Detector Sub LoB
  

• Drive core capability development with respect to product line design knowledge, program management and NPI process across all HIS product line
  

• Drive continuous improvement using the principles of lean product development & six sigma 
  

• Good Industrial safety product understanding to convert marketing requirement into product specification, and deliver them on quality, on cost, on schedule
  

• Work closely with Marketing team to define and maintain product roadmap
  

• Driving innovation and breakthrough ideas to deliver extra value to end customer
  

• Improving development productivities, align with Global quality, Cycle time and Vitality initiatives
  

• Develop system engineering capability to serve business better
  

• Plan AOP & manage the engineering activities within allocated budgets 
  

• Drive the related business growth through customer engagements, supporting the key account wins, delivering strong business results
  

• Build a strong network with business and stakeholders in various functions
  

• Set up E&T KPI to measure performance and drive excellence, which align with business needs and R&D functional requirement
  

• Develop technology roadmaps to support market to be able ahead of our competitor
  

• Drive innovation & create growth ideas relevant to local markets and products. Work closely with regional business team for idea conceptualization and to drive regional market growth

• Develop a staffing plan and training programs aligned with business needs 
  

• Mentor / coach / guide experienced engineers, and develop them into next level
  

• Drive effective people practices through hiring strategy, rewarding, motivating & retention strategy and talent differentiation for high performance.

• Responsible for developing people and capabilities that are required for future growth

•  BS minimum / MS preferred in EE/ME Engineering or related technical discipline with at least 10 years’ experience, with at least 5-year team management experience
  

• Experience with new product development process Familiar with Lean Product Development principles
  

• Hands on Intrinsic Safety product design experience is a plus
  

• Experience on working with Global marketing team and Engineering director
  

• Excellent written, oral communication and presentation skills & fluent in English 
  

• Demonstrated strong leadership skills in managing a team of technology specialists 
  

• Good business acumen
